Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

I guess I passed out and wasn’t awake for the actual New Year. I think someone must have spiked my milk. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my New Year’s photo. I was hoping to have one professionally done at the stroke of midnight, but instead I got this one taken. I think Max, the Siamese kitty, was the one who stuck the hat on my head. I heard that Salem busted out in a long, happy laugh to see me in a New Year’s hat. I was going to wear a tuxedo, but…. well, here’s my photo.

What do you mean I haven’t posted all day?

Boy am I getting slack on  my job, or what? I guess I’ve just been a busy man. Those naps sure are time consuming! And watching birds and crickets and lizards through the living room window is a tough job, but I guess someone has to do it!

A good friend of mine brought a rescue group in Hawaii to my attention. Boy, now I sure do want to visit after watching the videos on their website (which are posted below). The rescue’s called Lanai Animal Rescue Center. I would love to visit there someday. But, mind you, that’s only visit. I think all the kitties there should get a home because homes are much better than living in a rescue or shelter, no matter how fabulous that rescue looks.

Christmas Cards

Oliver's Card

Oliver’s Card

We got this card today from my good friend Oliver (aka Ollie). The picture of the card does NOT do this handsome cat justice. Oliver’s my idol because he has lots of cool hats, while I’m left without any. In fact, the only piece of clothing I have is a leather jacket that I don’t get to wear very often. In any case, how do I explain the coolness that is Oliver in his hat to my sister, Penny, who can’t see it? I don’t know, but I must have done an ok job, because she’s been dancing around the house humming La Cucaracha all morning long.

French Kitties

Those French kitties are kind of silly.

French Ninja Kitties

And then, of course, there’s the ever famous Henri, who’s actually not silly at all, but expresses my thoughts on life very clearly when there are no laps or humans for me to pin down.
